The Kensington Oval is one of the major stadiums in the Caribbean located in the city Bridgetown, Barbados. The stadium is primarily used for hosting cricket matches. The Kensington Oval was built in the year 1882 under the ownership of Pickwick Cricket Club. Currently the stadium has a capacity of 28,000 spectators which can be further increased if required.

The first test match on this ground was played way back in 1930 when the West Indian cricket team took on England. The first ODI on this ground was played much later in 1985 between West Indies & New Zealand. The stadium also hosted some of the matches of the 2007 Cricket World Cup including the final between Australia & Sri Lanka. It was also the venue for the 2010 ICC World T20 Final. This particular stadium is associated with many wonderful cricketing records. It is the ground where the combined West Indian team played their first test match in the year 1930. In 2004-05 the Kensington Oval was rebuilt from scratch as part of redevelopment effort for the 2007 World Cup.
